The 2024/25 professional snooker season is set to be an extremely busy one with a plethora of familiar tournaments returning and several new ones making their debuts on the circuit.

It was only last season that the World Snooker Tour returned to normality following three years of disruption due to the effects of the global Covid-19 pandemic.

New ranking events for the upcoming campaign include the big-money Xi’an Grand Prix and Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters. There is potential for further new competitions to be announced too, with one possibly in Qatar.

At the time of writing, there are several gaps and events missing or not yet confirmed. There are suggestions online that the European Masters has been dropped, whilst details for the Championship League Invitational and World Mixed Doubles are yet to be announced.
