German Masters Snooker Qualifiers 2025: Draw, schedule, results

World Snooker Tour
The qualifying rounds for the 2025 German Masters take place at Ponds Forge in Sheffield, England between December 16-19, 2024, where 32 players will make it through to the main venue stages in Berlin several weeks later.

One of the most popular and well-supported ranking events on the World Snooker Tour, the German Masters has been held every year since 2011, with the final rounds hosted at the iconic Tempodrom (except for 2021 when they were in Milton Keynes behind-closed-doors due to Covid-19).

Three-time champion Judd Trump is the current title holder having defeated Si Jiahui 10-5 in the 2024 final. Trump has won three of the last five editions of the tournament.

There is a change to the format of the event in 2025, as it reverts to a tiered draw system for the first time since the 2013 version.

The top 32 seeds for the event go straight through to Berlin and do not need to play in the qualifiers in Sheffield just before Christmas. At the time of writing, the exact identities of all these top players are yet to be revealed.

All the remaining 96 entrants are set to feature during the four-day qualifying phase at Ponds Forge which consists of two rounds. The bottom 64 seeds play each other in round one, with the winners of those matches then playing opponents who are seeded 33 to 64. The 32 winners from the second qualifying round book their tickets to Germany where they’ll face one of the top 32 seeds at the Tempodrom.

The main, televised rounds of the 2025 German Masters are scheduled between January 27 to February 2.

This tiered system is the same format that this season’s Home Nations Series events are using.

All matches at these qualifying rounds are the best of nine frames with a scheduled mid-session interval after the fourth frame.
