Michael Day is the chief writer for Totally Snookered, producing news, information, features and opinion pieces from both the professional and amateur snooker circuits. He has been a passionate cuesports fan for pretty much all his life, playing snooker from a young age and going on to win several local/regional honours and making century breaks in competition (although these days, he's buzzing if he makes a 30!). On the blackball pool scene, Michael has won both the Devon County and Western Regional Championships. He qualified to play for England and represented his country at the Nations Cup in Malta and European Championship in Bridlington. Michael has also been involved with the administration of amateur snooker and pool for many years, volunteering to help run competitions in his home city of Plymouth and the wider South West region. Michael created a cuesports blog and online community called 'The Cue View' and established himself as a respected writer and analyst within the cuesports industry. He managed to turn his passion into a profession and went freelance, working closely with several big organisations such as the Ultimate Pool Group and snooker's governing body the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association. A keen follower of most mainstream sports - although with added interest in cuesports (of course), darts and football, Michael is a big fan of Plymouth Argyle FC.
