The 2024 Champion of Champions snooker event takes place at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in Bolton between November 11-17.

Held every year since 2014, the Champion of Champions quickly established itself as one of the most popular tournaments on the World Snooker Tour for players and fans alike. A lucrative invitational - currently carrying a top prize of £150,000 - winners of professional events from across the previous 12 months earn invites to it.

Mark Allen is the reigning title holder having defeated Judd Trump 10-3 in last year's final to lift the trophy for the second time in his career.

Ronnie O'Sullivan is the most successful player in the competition's history with four title wins to his name, while two-time champion Neil Robertson - along with Allen - are the only other multiple-time winners of the Champion of Champions crown. John Higgins, Shaun Murphy and Trump are the other title victors.

The qualification cycle for this year's staging of the Champion of Champions began at last year's edition, with reigning champion Mark Allen the first player to book their 2024 place.

Several players have won multiple titles across the past year, therefore opening up spots for winners of non-professional events and high ranked players from the world rankings who hadn't already qualified by virtue of winning a title.

What is the format for the 2024 Champion of Champions Snooker?

The Champion of Champions is effectively a straight knockout event, although the format is unique as over the first four days, quarters of the draw are completed with two opening round matches (last 16) held in the afternoon session before the winners of those games face each other in the evening (quarter-finals) with the victor going through to the semi-finals. These quarters are often referred to as 'groups'.

  • Last 16: Best of 7 frames
  • Quarter-finals: Best of 11 frames
  • Semi-finals: Best of 11 frames
  • Final: Best of 19 frames (across two sessions)

Eight players have been seeded. As the title holder, Allen is the number one seed.

The other seeding positions were determined on the world ranking positions of the title winners from the past 12 months before the 2024 International Championship. Seeding numbers are in brackets next to the relevant players in the draw below.

These eight seeds could not draw each other in the opening round.
