World Snooker Tour
The 2025 German Masters takes place at the Tempodrom in Berlin between Monday 27th January to Sunday 2nd February.

This ranking event has been a permanent fixture on the professional snooker circuit every year since its introduction to the calendar in 2011. The 2025 edition will be its 15th staging.

The iconic Tempodrom venue in Germany’s capital city has always been the home of the German Masters, except for 2021 when the event was held behind closed doors in Milton Keynes, England due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In terms of the 2024/25 World Snooker Tour season, this will be the 12th ranking event of the campaign.

What is the format and schedule for the 2025 German Masters Snooker?

There is a format change for this year’s German Masters, as the event reverts to using a tiered draw system for the first time since the 2013 edition.

Four days and two rounds of qualifying took place at Ponds Forge, which yielded 32 players who join the seeds in the first round (last 64) at the Tempodrom.

All rounds up to and including the quarter-finals are the best of 9 frames, the semi-finals are the best of 11 frames, and the two-session final is the best of 19 frames.

Who is playing at the 2025 German Masters Snooker?

A seriously impressive star cast is set to feature at the event, including reigning and defending champion and world number one Judd Trump who is going for a record-extending fourth German Masters title. Trump has won three of the last five editions.

Current World Champion Kyren Wilson - who lifted the trophy here in 2019 - is on the programme, as too is recent Masters champion Shaun Murphy.

In fact, 14 of the world’s top 16 are headed for action at the Tempodrom - Ronnie O’Sullivan and Ding Junhui entered the event and were in the draw, but both have subsequently withdrawn, for O’Sullivan it was because of medical reasons.
