2024 Wuhan Open: Sunday 6th October Preview, Matches, Order of Play
Reigning Wuhan Open champion and tournament favourite Judd Trump begins his title defence against rookie professional Antoni Kowalski in the morning session. The two met earlier this season in the opening round of the Xi'an Grand Prix where they were locked at 2-2 before Trump won the next three frames after the mid-session interval to advance.
Neil Robertson is the second-favourite with bookmakers to pocket the £140,000 top prize here, and the recently crowned English Open champion will aim to consolidate his spot in the world's top 16 with a good run this coming week in the Far East. In what is a second round tie, Australia's Robertson faces the unpredictable Jackson Page.

All the remaining round one fixtures will be completed on Sunday. Both World Champion Kyren Wilson and China's greatest-ever player Ding Junhui have opening assignments against young opposition in professional newbies Liam Davies and Robbie McGuigan, respectively, during the evening session. Ding has yet to win a ranking event match this season, so far.
Last year's Wuhan Open runner-up Ali Carter is also set for action during the final session of the day.
