The 32-player line-up for the 2025 World Grand Prix snooker event in Hong Kong is now known.

Being played at the new, state-of-the-art Kai Tak Arena - an impressive venue that has a capacity of 4,000 - the highly anticipated tournament takes place between March 4-9 and is the first of this season's three Players Series events.

The first time that Hong Kong has held a professional snooker ranking competition since 1989, there is a huge prize money increase for the event that coincides with its venue change. The champion will pocket £180,000 from a total prize fund of £700,000; last season these respective amounts were £100,000 and £380,000.

As has always been the case with the World Grand Prix, only the top 32 players from the seasonal/one-year list are invited to it. The two-year world rankings do not come into it, nor last year's results, it solely depends on the 32 players who have won the most cumulative prize money points from ranking events this season.

Following Mark Selby's semi-final victory over Luca Brecel at the 2025 Welsh Open, the 32 players who will be invited to the event are now known, although the draw will not be confirmed until after the completion of the tournament in Llandudno.

After a thrilling week at the Welsh Open, the World Grand Prix qualification picture chopped and changed, with several players initially outside of the 32 having good runs and putting themselves into contention.

Despite a semi-final finish in North Wales, Luca Brecel is the highest-placed cueist from the world rankings to miss out - had he made the final, he would have got in. Brecel is the only player from the world's current top 24 not to qualify.

Stephen Maguire (who at the time of writing is in the semi-finals of the Welsh Open) gate-crashed his way into one of the qualifying spots. Hossein Vafaei was the player who ended up on the bubble in 33rd, narrowly missing out on the trip.

The 32 players who have qualified for the 2025 World Grand Prix:
