2024 Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters: Wednesday's Last 16 Matches, Order of Play
John Higgins, Ding Junhui, Tom Ford, Luca Brecel, Jak Jones, Mark Selby, Ali Carter, Barry Hawkins and Mark Allen all departed, meaning there are huge opportunities for several lower ranked professionals with the huge prize money on offer at the Green Halls.
Ronnie O'Sullivan had no such stress as he breezed through his first match, but ‘The Rocket’ will surely face a far sterner exam of his title credentials this week when he meets a red-hot Zhang Anda next up.

Zhang hit four century breaks during his whitewash win in round five and has defeated O'Sullivan in their two most recent meetings which both took place only last season.
Good pals Judd Trump and Jack Lisowski share the baize in round six, although both came very close to early elimination.
Lisowksi won his first game in round three on the final pink in a deciding frame and Trump conjured up a remarkable comeback on Tuesday, recovering from 4-0 down to win 5-4.
In their five most recent head-to-head meetings in all competitions, Trump has won them all.

Less than a fortnight since their last 16 tie at the Xi’an Grand Prix, Kyren Wilson and Jimmy Robertson will play again.
On that occasion in China, reigning World Champion Wilson produced a counter clearance of 72 in the deciding frame after being 51-0 down in points.
There are two all-non top 16 fixtures in round six - Scott Donaldson v Xiao Guodong and Si Jiahui v Pang Junxu. The winners of these matches are guaranteed at least £50,000 which also gets translated into ranking points.
There is a meeting of Crucible champions between Mark Williams and Stuart Bingham, Shaun Murphy - the only top 16 cueist left in the bottom quarter of the draw - plays Elliot Slessor, and Gary Wilson faces Neil Robertson.
