2024 Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters: Thursday's Quarter-Final Matches, Order of Play
Of the eight quarter-finalists, five are winners of the World Championship, and two are searching for their maiden ranking event title on the World Snooker Tour.
Every last eight match at the Green Halls features a current top 16 player up against someone who is outside the sport’s elite bracket.

During Thursday afternoon’s session, Judd Trump and Neil Robertson will add another chapter to their career rivalry. Between them, they have won a total of 51 world ranking events and been involved in a plethora of memorable head-to-head meetings.
Within the space of 13 months across 2019 and 2020, they played each other in four professional finals (three of those ties went to a deciding frame) but since then - apart from the invitational Championship League - they have only faced each other once.
Xiao Guodong is already guaranteed the biggest payday of his career to date, but he’ll try to double his money when he meets Shaun Murphy.
The two have played each other four times in all competitions, with Xiao 2-1 up and with one draw in the Championship League, although none of those contests were more than a best of nine (Murphy won their only best of nine match, 5-2). All quarter-finals on Thursday are the best of 11.

Ronnie O’Sullivan and Si Jiahui play each other for only the second time on the pro circuit having both come through their last 16 tests via a deciding frame after being 3-0 down.
World number 52 Jimmy Robertson is the lowest ranked player left in the tournament and has already won five matches here in as many days.
After defeating John Higgins in round five and Kyren Wilson in round six, Robertson will try to dispatch another World Champion in Mark Williams.
In terms of career head-to-head meetings, Williams won their first 11 matches in all events although Robertson ended that unwanted streak and finally got a victory over the three-time World Champion in their most recent encounter at last year’s European Masters in the last 32. On that occasion, Robertson won 5-4 by a single point in the deciding frame.
