By the end of Thursday’s play in Cheltenham, the quarter-finals line-up for the 2024 British Open will be confirmed.

However, there is plenty of snooker to take place at the Centaur before those eight spots are filled, as the second half of the last 32 is completed in the afternoon and the entire last 16 schedule is played during a bumper evening session.

World number one Judd Trump could make his 1,000th career century break in professional competition when he faces the very experienced Mark Davis from 13:00BST. Elsewhere in the arena, there is an all-Scottish tie between Crucible champions John Higgins and Graeme Dott.

The final batch of round three games features Mark Allen and Luca Brecel taking on teenage opposition in the form of Ben Mertens and Liam Davies, respectively. Reigning World Champion Kyren Wilson is also set for action against three-time ranking event winner Marco Fu.

All matches in rounds three and four are the best of seven frames.
