2024 British Open Snooker: The last 64 gets underway on Tuesday in Cheltenham

Australia's Robertson - who secured his 24th ranking event triumph on Sunday night in Brentwood following a near two-and-a-half year title drought - registered runs of 100, 99, 86 and 79 during his victory. Despite the loss, Totten was able to show his qualities with an effort of 79 in frame three.
Wu Yize - the player Robertson denied in that English Open final - was also back in action, but the young Chinese star will play no further part in this event as he was defeated by fellow in-form cueist Chris Wakelin, 4-2. A semi-finalist in Essex last week when he bowed out to the eventual champion, Wakelin scored breaks of 99 and 53 during today’s tie.

World number three Mark Allen was the runner-up in this event two years ago, and the Northern Irishman is on course for another deep run this time around as he ended the hopes of Aaron Hill, 4-1. Allen crafted contributions of 102 and 101 in the first and final frames, respectively.
Elsewhere at the Centaur Arena within the Cheltenham Racecourse, Ukrainian teenager Iulian Boiko stunned top 16 star Si Jiahui, 4-1.
Having celebrated his 19th birthday only a couple of days, Boiko is competing in this event as an amateur due to not currently having a professional tour card.
Yuan Sijun scored heavily as he eliminated Robbie Williams, 4-2, with the help of breaks of 67, 131, 105 and 74. Three-time ranking event winner Marco Fu defeated Ma Hailong, 4-2; finishing off with a 102. Ma had earlier posted 101 and 67 from 3-0 down.

Efforts of 60, 58 and 84 assisted Stuart Bingham to a 4-0 win against teenager Bulcsu Revesz, while Luca Brecel (runs of 54, 65, 58) is starting to show some green shoots of recovery as he saw off Tian Pengfei 4-2, despite Tian putting together an effort of 133 and narrowly missing out on a decider when he went in-off potting the final black in frame six.
Jak Jones and Ashley Carty both progressed with 4-0 wins; World Championship finalist Jones hit a trio of 60plus breaks. Stephen Maguire also stayed on track in Cheltenham.
The final verdict of the day - that was resolved beyond half-past midnight - went to Elliot Slessor who ousted Martin O’Donnell, 4-3, on the final pink ball in the deciding frame. This was the only match on Tuesday that used all seven frames.
