Neil Robertson is £150,000 richer after scooping this season's BetVictor Bonus prize on the World Snooker Tour.

Following Luca Brecel's 6-3 semi-final defeat to Mark Selby at the 2025 Welsh Open on Saturday afternoon, it means that Robertson can no longer be caught at the top of the order of merit, regardless of what else happens in Llandudno this weekend.

The BetVictor Bonus has been part of the professional circuit every season since the 2019/20 term, although for this campaign, the rules changed as the prize went to the player who earned the most cumulative money across all four Home Nations Series events (this season’s English, Northern Ireland, Scottish and Welsh Opens).

Heading into the Series-concluding Welsh Open, several players were in serious contention for the £150,000 bonus, but after just a few days of action at the Venue Cymru, the picture became a lot clearer with many of those exiting the tournament.

Robertson was eliminated in the round of 32, but so were his two closest rivals, Kyren Wilson and Wu Yize.

At the last 16 stage, only two players could dislodge the Australian from the top - Brecel and Pang Junxu who both needed to win the title - but when the former defeated the latter on Thursday evening, it meant that only the Belgian could collect the kitty.

Brecel got the better of Jackson Page 5-2 in the quarter-finals, but went out to Selby in a rerun of their World Championship final at the Crucible in 2023.

In the standings, Robertson finishes with £120,000 - £100,000 of that came from him winning the English Open back in September which was his first ranking event title triumph in over two years.

It is the first time that Triple Crown winner Robertson has won this bonus prize. Judd Trump had won three of the previous editions (2019/20, 2020/21, 2023/24), with John Higgins (2021/22) and Robert Milkins (2022/23) being the other claimants.

Whilst he will receive the cash, the bonus prize money does not get added to world number 19 Robertson’s rankings tally.
