Mink Nutcharut ends season as women's tour world number one, Reanne Evans retains pro tour card
Thailand’s Mink Nutcharut has finished the 2024/25 World Women’s Snooker Tour season as the number one in the world rankings.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a super consistent campaign on the circuit, reaching at least the final in each of the last six ranking events, including the recent 2025 World Women’s Snooker Championship held in China.

Having started her season with a quarter-final finish at the US Open and a semi-final result at the UK Championship, Mink went on to win titles at the 2024 Australian Open in Sydney (defeating Ng On Yee 4-3 in the final) and the 2025 WSF Women’s Championship in Saïdia, Morocco (defeating Bai Yulu 4-3 in the final) later during the term.
Mink was the runner-up at the Masters, Belgian Open, and British Open events, as well as the aforementioned World Championship held in the Far East that ended the season.
These results have helped Mink maintain top spot in the world women’s rankings, a position she has now held consecutively since August 2023.
The women’s ranking system works similar to that of the professional tour with a two-year rolling format in place. However, on the women’s circuit, a player’s ‘best 14’ results from the 24-month cycle are used instead.

Mink first became the women’s world number one in February 2023 before Reanne Evans took over from her three months later. However, Mink retook top spot in August that year and has remained there ever since. She is the first and only Thai player to have held the prestigious accolade, and only the second Asian after Ng On Yee created history by scaling the top of the rankings for the first time in 2018.
Going into the 2025 World Women’s Snooker Championship, there was an intriguing race for the world number one spot, with On Yee hot on the heels of Mink.
On Yee had to better Mink’s result in Dongguan, but went out in the quarter-finals to eventual champion Bai, while Mink reached her fourth world final from the last five editions of the Championship.
Despite narrowly missing out on regaining the number one status, it has been a very satisfying season for three-time world champion On Yee as she finishes the campaign second, and having reclaimed her professional tour card; she returns to the World Snooker Tour for at least the next two seasons (2025/26, 2026/27).
The 34-year-old star from Hong Kong added two more women’s ranking titles to her collection this season - at the US Open in Seattle, and when successfully defending the British Open crown.
Reigning World Champion Bai Yulu ends the season third in the women’s world rankings; as well as retaining the sport’s blue riband prize on home soil in China, she also won the UK Championship in Leeds back in September.
In a repeat of the world final from 2024, Bai defeated Mink 6-4 in the title match at the Changping Gymnasium to become the first player since Evans in 2006 to successfully defend the crown at their first attempt. Bai was the first player to retain the title in any capacity since On Yee did so in 2018.

Reanne Evans set for professional tour return
Despite a shock last 16 elimination at the hands of China's Xia Yuyin at the recent World Women's Championship, there is good news for Reanne Evans.
Evans' bid for a record-extending 13th world title may have been cut short, but it is understood that the 39-year-old will retain her professional tour card due to her position in the end-of-season rankings.
The Englishwoman enjoyed a great start to the 2024/25 term; during her opening three appearances, Evans reached the final of the British Open, and then won both the Masters and Belgian Open titles in London and Bruges respectively.
The most decorated women's snooker player of all-time - which includes several lengthy spells at the top of the global standings throughout her career - Evans finishes this season fourth in the rankings.
The World Women's Snooker Tour provides a qualification pathway for the professional World Snooker Tour, with two tour cards on offer each season. One of these is awarded to the winner of the World Women's Championship, and the other goes to the highest-placed, eligible player from the world women’s rankings.
It is believed that if the world champion already has a pro tour card, that vacant spot then goes to the next person in line from the rankings.
Both Bai and Mink already have a pro tour card, and will shortly be going into their second season of a two-year placement. Therefore, this season's two cards are set to be issued to On Yee (whose place was already guaranteed pre-world championship) and Evans, due to their ranking positions.
