Draw for the 2025 Players Championship, players who have qualified for Telford and seeding positions

World Snooker Tour
The entry list and draw for the 2025 Players Championship are now confirmed, with the second Players Series event of the World Snooker Tour season set to take place at the Telford International Centre between March 17 to 23.

A £500,000 ranking event, the Players Championship exclusively features the top 16 players from the one-year ranking list. This list is determined by the amount of cumulative prize money players have won from ranking events during this ongoing 2024/25 campaign.

The 16-player field was finalised following the conclusion of the 2025 World Grand Prix in Hong Kong, which was won by Neil Robertson.

Who are the players in the 2025 Players Championship? Who are the seeds and how does the draw work?

There is a fixed bracket for the 2025 Players Championship and no requirement for any ‘random’ draw, with seed numbers 1 v 16, 2 v 15 etc.

The top seed for the event is Judd Trump, who has earned nearly £1million from ranking competitions this season, and is over £450,000 clear of reigning World Champion Kyren Wilson who is second on the seasonal list. Trump is at the top of the draw and Wilson is at the bottom.

World Grand Prix champion Neil Robertson is the third seed, and John Higgins - winner of the recent World Open held in Yushan, China - is seed number four.

Xiao Guodong, Mark Selby, Ding Junhui and Lei Peifan - who have all won ranking tournaments this season - have also qualified.

17th-placed Ali Carter was the player on the bubble; he was dislodged from the 16 by Stuart Bingham who had a brilliant run to the final in Hong Kong.

Bingham needed to get to the final at the Kai Tak Sports Park to qualify for the Players Championship, and he did just that. Bingham will meet Robertson again, in round one.

The majority of the world’s top 16 (from the two-year list) have qualified for the 2025 Players Championship, with Ronnie O’Sullivan, Luca Brecel, Zhang Anda and Carter missing the cut.

Mark Allen is the reigning and defending champion, although he was downbeat about featuring at the latest edition following his early exit at the World Grand Prix. In one of the standout fixtures of the opening round, Allen meets Wilson.

Round one, the quarter-finals and semi-finals are the best of 11 frames, with the multi-session final being the best of 19.

This is the final chance for cueists to qualify for the third and final Players Series event of the term, the 2025 Tour Championship which is set for between March 31 to April 6 in Manchester. Only the top 12 on the one-year list will qualify for that.
