Neil Robertson made it three wins from three during this block of World Snooker Tour qualifiers in Leicester as he defeated Andrew Pagett 4-1 to reach the main venue stages of the 2024 British Open next month.

Career Triple Crown winner Robertson - Australia's most successful snooker player of all-time - slipped outside of the world's top 16 rankings near the end of last season but has made a very good start to this new campaign as he aims to reclimb the standings.

Robertson went 2-0 up on Pagett, and although he lost frame three in which there were 186 points scored between the players after he conceded a heap-load of points trying to escape from a snooker on the final red, the 23-time ranking event winner took frame four on the final black with a counter-attacking clearance of 62 before securing victory in the next.

Scotland's Chris Totten was very impressive as he registered runs of 63, 64, 86 and 87 (a break in each frame) during a 4-0 clean sweep of Jimmy White.

Ricky Walden and Mark Joyce - who is currently competing as an amateur - both won deciding frame contests over Liu Hongyu and Xing Zihao, respectively.

Xu Si scored efforts of 120 and 97 in eliminating Ken Doherty, 4-2.

Rookie professional Amir Sarkhosh from Iran came back from 3-0 down to force a deciding frame in his match, although a surely relieved Ashley Carty eventually progressed with frame seven.

Duane Jones followed up his success over Luca Brecel in the Wuhan Open by recovering from 2-0 down to defeat fellow Welshman Dominic Dale, 4-2.

There were also wins on Thursday at the Mattioli Arena for Zhou Yuelong, Hossein Vafaei, Chris Wakelin and Stephen Maguire. Amateur invite Anton Kazakov also advanced. Friday's order of play is here.
