A big 10 days is coming up on the World Snooker Tour as a triple-header of ranking events get underway at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester.

The first rounds of the 2024 Xi'an Grand Prix, Wuhan Open and British Open professional snooker events all begin, with the winners of these matches going through to the last 64 and qualifying to appear at the main venue a few weeks later.

All three events feature a 128-player straight knockout, flat draw format, meaning all entrants begin in the first round.

However, several first round matches will not be played in Leicester, but held over to the main venue. These involve top ranked players such as world champion Kyren Wilson and seven-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan.

With several events starting in a short space of time, good results over the next two weeks could set up a player well for the 2024/25 snooker season.

Information for the 2024 Xi’an Grand Prix Qualifiers (July 25-27)

The Xi'an Grand Prix is an exciting new ranking event on the professional snooker circuit. Carrying a total prize fund of £850,000, the winner is set to scoop £177,000. The main event takes place in China between August 19-25.

Opening round ties involving Kyren Wilson, Ding Junhui, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Zhang Anda, Mark Selby and Mark Allen will be played in China.

However, fixtures involving players such as recently crowned Shanghai Masters winner Judd Trump, Luca Brecel, Mark Williams and John Higgins take place in Leicester.

Information for the 2024 Wuhan Open Qualifiers (July 28-30)

This will be the second installment of the Wuhan Open after Judd Trump won the inaugural edition last year.

This year's main event is set for October 6-12, with the champion collecting £140,000.

Similar to the Xi'an Grand Prix, several big names will wait to play their first round matches in the Far East. These involve: Trump, Ding Junhui, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Zhang Anda and Kyren Wilson.

The remainder of the top 16 will need to play in Leicester, though, including world number one Mark Allen who faces world women's champion Bai Yulu on July 30.

Informational for the British Open Qualifiers (July 31-August 3)

The televised main stages of the 2024 British Open are scheduled for the Centaur Arena in Cheltenham between September 23-29. Those involved in action in Leicester will need to win a match to get there.

As with recent years, this tournament features an 'FA Cup style' random draw each round, meaning anyone can face anyone.

All the first round matches involving top 16 players will be played in Cheltenham (as well as some others) whilst the remaining round one matches are contested in Leicester.

Official details on how to watch the action from Leicester have yet to be released by the World Snooker Tour (at the time of writing) although they are expected to be livestreamed online.
