The World Seniors Snooker Tour is set to return to the Epsom Racecourse during the festive period for the latest event on its Mr Vegas Snooker 900 series.

The one-day extravaganza takes place on Monday 30th December, with live television coverage throughout on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom.

Star names Jimmy White, Ken Doherty and Tony Drago are already confirmed to be playing, with further cueists to be announced in the coming weeks.

Using similar rules to those seen at the Snooker Shoot Out on the World Snooker Tour, this will be the fourth staging of a 'Snooker 900' event on the World Seniors circuit.

The first staging was in Epsom last year where Stephen Hendry ousted four-time World Seniors Snooker Champion White in a thrilling final.

Doherty won on home soil at Goffs, Ireland in March and reigning World Seniors Snooker Champion Igor Figueiredo travelled from Brazil and claimed the latest staging in Hull in September.

The second installment in Epsom will feature the same format as recent 900 shows with six players split into two groups, with the top two from each qualifying for the semi-final knockouts.

Snooker legends Dennis Taylor and John Virgo will also be in attendance in Epsom providing hospitality for the fans at the venue.

As quoted on the seniorssnooker.com website, World Seniors Snooker Tour Chairman Jason Francis said: “We are delighted to be returning to Epsom for the second year in a row and look forward to welcoming the fans for an afternoon of enthralling, unpredictable action under the World Seniors Snooker 900 format."
