Vilius Schulte-Ebbert didn't lose a single frame throughout the entire tournament as he won the 2024 Lithuanian National Snooker Championship.

The 29-year-old from the capital city Vilnius continues to dominate the domestic snooker scene. He has now won the last four editions of the tournament and his latest victory represents his seventh overall in the event.

Organised by the Lithuanian Billiard Federation and initially held across two venues in the capital - the Cue Club and KN - a total of 30 players from several cities across the country took part. Schulte-Ebbert defeated Ceslovas Gabalis 3-0, Karolis Marciulaitis 3-0, Andrej Maksimov 4-0, and then compiled breaks of 61 and 72 during a 4-0 semi-final victory over Erikas Kozlovas.

On the other side of the draw, Laimonas Aldonis reached the final for the first time. In the last four he eliminated two-time runner-up - including from 12 months ago - Mindaugas Maisiejus, 4-1.

However, Schulte-Ebbert was too strong in the title match; aided by a break of 73 in frame three, the defending champion retained the accolade with a 4-0 win.

Snooker in Lithuania continues to show promising signs of growth. Several teenagers participated in this year's installment, with 13-year-old Ilya Zubanov being the youngest.

Gabalis - who lost to the eventual winner in round one - is a well-known rock musician in Lithuania.
