Home hero Alexander Ursenbacher and former world championship runner-up and British Open champion Nigel Bond are two of the star names on show at the upcoming 2024 Zurich Snooker Open.

A prestigious pro-am event, current World Snooker Tour professionals Jamie Clarke and Ross Muir are also in the draw for this year’s three-day tournament that takes place at the Round Robin Snooker and Billiards venue in Switzerland’s largest city between May 24-26.

This will be the 11th edition of the competition; Ursenbacher - who recently won the Vienna Snooker Open - is the most successful player having won the title on three occasions. Former ranking event finalist Ian McCulloch was the champion of the opening two installments in 2010 and 2011.

A total of 48 players representing 11 different nationalities are set to be in action, initially split into round robin groups of four until the knockout stages on Sunday.

There is a total prize fund of 5,000CHF, with 1,250 of that going to the champion.
