Elliot Slessor and Anthony McGill both pocketed £800 first prizes as they won pro-am events held at the Lincoln Snooker Club.

Both one-day tournaments featured high-quality 16-player fields. Slessor - who reached the final of the recent Pink Ribbon charity competition - won Wednesday's event.

The world number 44 ousted Oliver Brown 4-3 in the opening round before top scoring with a 99 as he eliminated former Shoot Out winner Chris Wakelin 4-1 in the quarter-finals. Slessor booked a spot in the final as he defeated Ross Muir 4-2; Muir made a 103 in the tie.

In the title match, Slessor faced Jamie Clarke who had seen off Oliver Lines - the winner of the aforementioned Pink Ribbon - 4-2 in the other last four tie.

An excellent final ensued; Clarke deposited frame one before Slessor levelled and then went ahead with a break of 121 in frame three. A 94 helped Clarke level the contest but Englishman Slessor registered runs of 88, 74 and then a 133 total clearance in the final frame to record a 5-2 success in style.

On Thursday, two-time ranking event winner McGill scooped the top prize.

The Scotsman defeated Liam Davies 4-2, Joe O'Connor 4-2 and then Clarke 4-0 in the last four to make the final where he met Slessor, who was trying to complete a double. Slessor denied Lines 4-2 in the other semi-final.

In the best of seven final, McGill started out like a train as he compiled a 133 total clearance in frame one and then doubled his lead courtesy of a 92. However, the best was yet to come as the world number 32 produced perfection in frame three with a maximum 147 break.

Slessor prolonged the match as he got on the board with a scrappy frame four, but McGill won the next for a 4-1 victory.
