Nine year old Teddy White completes stunning clearance on Ultimate Pool TV

The world of English 8-ball pool has a thrilling new star; his name is Teddy White and he is only nine-years-old.

Last weekend, the Ultimate Pool arena at the Players Pool & Snooker Lounge in Newcastle-under-Lyme near Stoke-on-Trent hosted the annual County Team Shootout in conjunction with national governing body the English Pool Association.

The festival featured a junior event, showcasing up-and-coming 8-ball pool talents from across the country. And it was in this competition that produced one of Ultimate Pool's most memorable moments.

In a busy and loud arena, under the lights and in front of the cameras, White conjured up a brilliant break and clearance whilst playing for home side Staffordshire in their match against Lancashire.

Coming in to bat with his side 3-1 down at the time, White - who barely reached over the table - broke the balls beautifully, potting one and stunning the cueball, leaving it in ideal position in the centre of the table.

The schoolboy miscued on his next shot but still legally potted, before going on to complete an exciting finish - all against the pressure of the shot-clock - that included a double on his final yellow to set up perfect position on the 8-ball. Warmly congratulated by his opponent afterwards, White celebrated the clearance with his jubilant teammates.

Staffordshire - a hot bed for small table 8-ball pool - went on to win the tournament, defeating West Midlands in the final.

The nine-year-old's break and dish has already gone viral across social media and has been shared by many of cuesports' biggest names, including three-time world snooker champion Mark Williams.

Ultimate Pool professional Liam White is the father of Teddy, and he shared the video footage on his Facebook page along with the post 'All I can say is PROUD'.

It appears that Teddy has a very bright future within cuesports. Earlier this year he competed at the Jayson Shaw Junior 9-Ball Pool Open - part of Matchroom Pool's UK Open event at the Telford International Centre - and only a few weeks ago he played in Ultimate Pool's European Open where he lined up alongside a plethora of the world's top English 8-ball pool stars.

Teddy White - remember the name!
