When is the draw for the 2024 World Snooker Championship?

The 2024 World Snooker Championship is set to be one of the most eagerly anticipated and important editions of the blue riband event, ever. 

Several intriguing stories and themes will run throughout the 17-day Sheffield spectacular with the winner claiming £500,000 and the sport’s ultimate accolade. 

The world’s top 16 ranked players following the 2024 Tour Championship are all seeded and automatically go through to the main stages at the Crucible Theatre which take place between Saturday 20th April to Monday 6th May. 

These seeds will be joined by the 16 qualifiers who emerge from the preliminary rounds held at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield between Monday 8th April to Wednesday 17th April. 

How to listen to and watch the 2024 World Snooker Championship Draw

With only two days between the conclusion of the qualifiers and the start of the main event, there is a very quick turnaround for all the players involved. 

The 32-player draw for the televised stages of the 2024 World Snooker Championship will take place on the morning of Thursday 18th April at approximately 08:30BST. This is where the seeded players will be paired against the qualifiers for round one. 

The draw is set to be conducted live and can be listened to on BBC Radio Five Live and watched via the BBC Sport website.
